About The SteelDrivers
Specializing in a unique mix of what might be called bluegrass soul, The SteelDrivers have become one of the biggest names in progressive bluegrass since making their debut in 2005. While there’s a strong traditional streak in their sound, they bring a passion and forceful grit to their delivery that gives the music its distinctive flavor.
The SteelDrivers have earned five Grammy nominations, including a 2025 nomination for Best Bluegrass Album. The band was also nominated for the Americana Music Association’s New Artist of the Year and was named IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year in 2009. In 2015, The Muscle Shoals Recordings earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.
The quintet signed with Sun Records in 2025 and released Outrun to widespread critical
acclaim, earning the band another Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.
